In the Texas State University Alumni Notes from the Chair Newsletter for the McCoy College of Business, Department of Computer Information Systems & Quantitative Methods, by Dr. David Wierschem Department Chair, I was mentioned and awarded a pen, even though I only had 1 out of 5 states correctly named. Below is an excerpt:
“Last month I asked the alumni to guess which 5 states do not have CIS program graduates working in them. I had two great guesses. Matt Comer who works as a contractor with IBM guessed Alaska, North and South Dakota, Wyoming and Vermont. Jarrett Grantham guessed Vermont, Idaho, Mississippi, Alaska, and Maine. Another great guess. Unfortunately they were both wrong.
The answer is: Idaho, Maine, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and South Dakota.
However, Matt and Jarrett, if you e-mail me your mailing address, I will send you both a CIS pen just for guessing.”
