It was the best year yet at the 24th Annual Old Settlers Music Festival in Driftwood, Texas! This was my fourth year to volunteer at the festival with the Watering Hole Crew. I was able to camp out for tow nights and even bring the family out for Saturday and again at the campgrounds on Sunday. I was able to see some great musicians and eat some great BBQ! OSMF is located at the Salt Lick Pavilion and camping at Camp Ben McCulloch.
I wasn’t able to take many photos as I would have liked as in years past. Unfortunately, the best food on the Salt Lick menu, the pistoles, is no longer available. As the legend goes, the inventor of the perfect fried encrusted biscuit and pulled pork with drizzled BBQ sauce, was fired shortly after last year’s festival for undisclosed reasons.
